- ISBN #s?
C.L.E.A.R. books do not have ISBN numbers.
- What is available for purchase?
There is only ONE book that is available online: the latest edition, the 2023-2025 edition of Elements of a Crime. This is the book with the updates with changes from the 88th Texas Legislative Session that went into effect in September of 2023. There will not be another update until after the 2025 legislative session.

Web/Online Orders
C.L.E.A.R. accepts all major credit/debit cards, as well as PayPal payments.
When placing an order online, you all types of payment are redirected to PayPal. Securely enter your form of payment information, including debit and credit payments.
Pay with your credit card, debit card, or PayPal account. If paying for a PO Order, be sure to add that info in Order Notes during checkout.
After payment is complete, you will be directed back to CLEARBooks.com and see a receipt with your order information.
This receipt will also be sent to the email address you provided during checkout. Look for an email from Books@CLEARBooks.com with a subject of
“Receipt for your CLEAR order-(order_number) – (order_date)”. This email includes your invoice and order ID number.
If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder.
Credit card statement purchase includes the business name: CLEAR BOOKS
Shipment time depends on the amount of books ordered. Please note that USPS media mail is currently experiencing delays that may add to the estimated order time.

Mail Orders
Book orders are also accepted via postage mail with a check or money order.
Fill out one of these online forms to auto-calculate your order.
After you fill out the online form, you will receive an emailed PDF that includes the calculated total for your order, as well as payment instructions.

Then, you can either mail a purchase order with check to our mailing address:

OR email your approved PO to books@clearbooks.com. We will send the books with an invoice to be paid BY CHECK.
When ordering by postage mail, please add up to 8 business days to the total turnaround time to allow for “snail mail” delivery and processing .
Tax Exempt Orders
If you are NOT paying with a Government Agency Credit/Debit Card or a Bookstore, then you are NOT TAX EXEMPT
Mail and PO orders: Please provide your Tax Exempt ID when filling out the online form. Your total will be automatically updated to exclude sales tax.
Web/Online orders: Please provide your Tax Exempt ID and other information during checkout on the final page — after PROCEED TO CHECKOUT. Your cart total will then be updated to exclude the sales tax.
Select the “Tax Exempt” checkbox and put your Tax Exempt ID # in the blank.
Before proceeding to PayPal, check that it has currently deducted your tax from the total at the bottom.
